Angela Griffen PhD - QA Manager
Angela joined Vitrology in June 2007 as QA Manager bringing greater than 9 years CRO experience in a number of different roles. Angela graduated with an honours degree from Glasgow University and continued her academic career in the University where she was awarded a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology.

In 1998 Angela joined Q-One Biotech as a scientist within the Molecular Biology department performing a number of routine and more complex GLP studies. Angela rapidly progressed to Study Director then Senior Management where she liaised with quality assurance and clients whilst being responsible for a large number of Molecular assays and staff. This allowed her to significantly develop and expand her technical, managerial and quality assurance experience encompassing a wide range of Biosafety tests, client interaction and GLP compliance. Angela also spent time at the US Q-One facility to support the initial set up. Angela’s skills were further developed following the sale of Q-One Biotech to BioReliance where she undertook a key role in the integration of methods and staff within the Molecular Biology department.

Following the sale of BioReliance to Invitrogen, Angela held the role of Senior Technical Report Writer for the custom/development group of the Molecular Biology team. This position provided experience in technical review, report writing and quality assurance systems. She is a highly experienced Molecular Biology Study Director, Manager and Report Writer and has considerable knowledge and understanding of the technical, GLP and client requirements required in Biosafety testing and reporting.
