Harry Draffan PhD
After studying Chemistry at Glasgow, Baylor and Bristol Universities,
Dr Draffan left academia in 1975 to join Inveresk Research. During
the period from 1975 to 1999 Dr Draffan directed several divisions
of Inveresk including Metabolic Studies, Laboratory Sciences and
Inveresk Clinical Research. Dr Draffan was involved in a management
buy-out, then sale to SGS Geneva in 1989.
From
1996 until 2000 Dr Draffan was Industrial Adviser to the Graduate
School in the Department of Chemistry, University of Edinburgh,
and from 2002 until 2004 Dr Draffan chaired the Edinburgh Drug Absorption
Foundation.
Dr
Draffan is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and author
or co-author of 40 publications in the fields of analytical, pharmaceutical
and environmental chemistry, drug metabolism and clinical pharmacology. |
